For years the car show capping off a week of Little Tokyo cultural festivities has been a showcase of nisei automotive culture, but now the torch has been passed on to a new generation. We’ve got a lot of respect for Ken and everyone associated with Nisei as they’ve been doing this longer than many of us have even been in the car scene. Few weeks ago we received a personal invite from Ken, the man behind Nisei, to attend his event which we gladly said yes to. There’s a lot of history there, but sadly, this will be the last one. Īll three series were directed by Toshiaki Komura. Eventually, that evolved into an actual show, the Nisei Showoff, sometime in the early-to-mid 90s. Another 13-episode spin-off, Kinnikuman Second Generation: Ultimate Muscle 2, was broadcast from January 4 to Main Japan. In 2003 a 13-episode sequel - Kinnikuman Nisei: Ultimate Muscle primarily focused on non-Japanese audiences was announced it aired on Fox Box in North America, and from April 7 to Jin Japan. The 51-episode series aired until December 25 of that year, and was released on 12 DVDs from Septemto August 8, 2003. On January 9, 2002, Kinnikuman: Second Generation premiered. ![]()
